The Posh Story

Posh Tot Events is a full service event planning company that specializes in unique theme parties for Children and Moms. With our new event venue in Historic Roswell, we now offer summer camps, parents night out and holiday events in addition to fabulous all-inclusive birthday parties and baby shower packages. We are the premier event planner for children's events in Atlanta with an impressive list of celebrity clientele.

The company was created in 2007 by co-founders Shannon Masterson and Jennifer Shields when a shared love for event planning, combined with the dilemma of planning birthday parties for their children on the same weekend lead to the idea for Posh Tot Events. Recognizing a need for something beyond the typical jump house birthday party options, they created Atlanta's first full service theme party packages. As the only event planners in Atlanta dedicated to planning fabulous events for children, local parents quickly took notice and the business took off.

Posh Tot Events has developed a strong local following in Atlanta and has been chosen by celebrity clients such as Nicole Ari Parker and Boris Kodjoe and local radio personality Bert Weiss of Q100's "The Bert Show", to plan their childrens' birthday parties. The company has built a name for themselves as Atlanta's premier party planners for children with their impeccable style and outstanding client services. Posh Tot Events has been featured in the Atlanta Journal Constitution, Points North Magazine, Jezebel Magazine and Atlanta based Q100’s “The Bert Show”, CBS Better Mornings and Good Day Atlanta. Our work is featured on several party planning blogs as well as in several issues of Occasions Magazine. 
 
Posh Tot Events is owned and operated by Jennifer Shields. She earned a bachelor of arts in both English and Journalism from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst and brings creativity, passion and more than a decade of corporate experience in marketing, event planning and project management to Posh Tot Events. A mother of 2 young children herself, she has her pulse on the latest trends in children's parties allowing her to constantly keep the themes and format of Posh Tot Event parties fresh and unique. 
 
In addition to maintaining the Posh Tot Events blog she has contributed as a guest blogger to other event planning sites such as Pizzazerie.com. She has been featured in the nationally published Crave Atlanta as one of the top 100 women entrepreneurs in Atlanta and has been interviewed by and/or been a subject matter experts to iparenting.com, cnn.com, Daily Candy Kids, eXaminer.com and Kenzie Atlanta and was featured as a person of interest on Scoutmob.com. She has been a guest on Gravity Free Radio and Chic Perspectives radio shows and appeared as an expert panelist at Tory Johnson's 3-day business conference for women entreprenuers, Spark and Hustle in July of 2010. When not dreaming up new party designs or business ideas, Jennifer enjoys travel, reading, trying new restaurants and spending time with her husband Tim and their two children, Ava (7) and Austin (5)      
Brigette's BA in Interior Design from the University of Georgia coupled with her amazing attention to detail makes her the creative force behind all the new things happening at Posh Tot Events this year. She has over 7 years experience in retail merchandising, most recently for Anthropologie, which gives her a strong understanding of client management. From the invitations to the favors, Brigette brings her creative style to everything she touches. Brigette lives with her husband Jeremy in Atlanta.

Alyssa Gard Lead Event Manager

Alyssa earned her Bachelor of Business in Hospitality Management from the Georgia State University. She worked with several non-profits and small businesses as both an administrative assistant and event coordinator before coming to Posh Tot Events. Alyssa also has several years’ experience of working with children, which is one of her favorite things about working at Posh Tot Events. With passion and enthusiasm for the hospitality industry and children, Alyssa enjoys working closely with clients to make every Posh Tot Event one to remember. Alyssa currently resigns in Johns Creek with her four legged child, Zoey.
